Valvan’s Trimclean technology presented at ITMA- Ecotextile

Using artificial intelligence to extract trims, zips and buttons to create clean textile feedstock, a Belgian company may have solved how to close the gap between textile sorting and recycling.


It’s these types of figures that have ignited action by the European Commission to introduce proposals for a mandatory extended producer responsibility (EPR) scheme for textiles.

Valvan aims to take advantage of the emerging infrastructure that will be needed to meet these EPR requirements with a range of new sorting technology that it unveiled at the recent ITMA exhibition.
