  1. What is a Cookie?

A Cookie is a small text file saved in a dedicated space on your terminal’s hard disk when you visit an online service via your browser software (the “Cookie”). It enables the sender to identify the terminal in which it is saved, during the period of validity or saving of the Cookie.

During a Application visit, the information about how you browse the Application may be saved in the “Cookies” files installed on your terminal subject to the choices that you expressed regarding the Cookies and which you can modify at any time.

Cookies allow the Application thereby visited to control, save, and recover information on your browsing behaviour as well as obtaining technical disclosures on the Application’s browsability. In this respect, Cookies allow to send you customised services as well as improving functionality, user-friendliness and accessibility of the related web pages.

The Cookies emitted on the Application are used for the above-mentioned purposes during the concerned Cookie’s period of validity depending on your choices resulting from your browser software’s settings used during your visit on the Application and which you can modify at any time.

Third-party Cookies are likely to be placed elsewhere on your computer. Only the Cookie’s sender is likely to read or modify information that is contained therein.

Different types of Cookies are used by Refashion and have different purposes.

  1. Cookie type and purpose

Depending upon their status and purpose, different types of Cookies exist as listed below. These concern the Application

Technical and functional Cookies

These Cookies are necessary for the correct functioning of the Application and are essential in allowing you to browse and use the Application’s functionalities such as access to secured zones. These Cookies are mainly session Cookies or login Cookies.

The Cookies that we send allow:

  • us to keep information that you entered in a form on the Application (registration or access to an account) or to services or information that you chose.
  • you to access spaces that are reserved and personal on the Application, such as your account, via login ID or data that you supplied beforehand.
  • security measures to be deployed, in particular when you are asked to log in again to content or to a service after a certain lapse of time.

Analytical Cookies or Audience Measurement Cookies

These are mainly Cookies relative to Application visits, Cookies that analyse the origin of visits, Application performance Cookies and statistical or analytical Cookies.

These Cookies allows us to recognise and count the number of visitors and the sources of traffic in order to measure and improve the Application’s performance. They help us to: understand, if applicable, why difficulties are encountered or error messages are sent on some pages; to determine which pages are the most and the least visited; to analyse visitors’ browsing activities on the Application; to adapt and improve the Application so that it is more useful, more user-friendly; and on the whole, to improve users’ visits.

Social network sharing Cookies

These Cookies are required to manage external social networks (e.g.: Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.…). Their function is to monitor the interaction of internet users with social widgets within a web page.

Indeed, the Application may contain buttons linked to social networks allowing you to share the Application’s contents or express your opinion (e.g., “Like”, “retweet”, etc.). If you are logged into a social network whilst you are visiting the Application, your browser establishes a connection between the network and the Application. If you click on the social network button positioned on the Application, plug-ins (small software) transmit the corresponding information to the social network, which publishes it on your account. If you wish to prevent all connections to social networks and the Application, you have to disconnect from the social network before visiting the Application.

These Cookies are created directly by social networks. Therefore, your user choices concerning the creation of these Cookies must also be performed on the social network sites. For this purpose, Refashion invites Users of the Application to directly visit the social network internet sites and refer to their Personal Data Protection Policies.
