The European Commission has unveiled its highly-anticipated proposals to introduce a mandatory extended producer responsibility (EPR) scheme for textiles in all member states.

The EPR scheme would make producers responsible for the full lifecycle of textile products and support the sustainable management of textile waste across the European Union (EU), according to the commission.
