Re&Up expands into Europe with a new recycling plant in Spain – ECOTEXTILE NEWS

Textile recycler Re&Up has set up a subsidiary in Spain as it looks to expand its operations to Europe as part of its ambitious bid to scale its global capacity to more than a million tonnes annually.

Re&Up, which is based in the Netherlands but part of the Turkish Sanko Group, is looking to set up its first recycling plant outside Turkey in Spain and has set up a company in Madrid, called Re&Up Recycling Technologies Spain, to oversee the project.

Re&Up focuses on recycling post-consumer textile waste, including blends. Its process aims to decolourise and separate cotton and polyester fibres, offering cost-neutral, virgin-like materials.
