Fortune 500 company Heraeus Holding has acquired a majority stake in chemical recycler Perpetual Technologies and renamed the firm Revalyu Resources.
Revalyu boasts a PET recycling solution that breaks plastic bottle waste down into its core monomers, which can then be used as the building blocks for virgin-grade, PET-based products including textiles and packaging.
“Revalyu is driven by innovation and fits perfectly into our portfolio,” said Jan Rinnert, chairman of the board of managing directors and CEO of Heraeus Holding. “We aim to develop the business into one of the world’s largest and technologically advanced PET recycling companies.”
