The Refashion platform for connecting textiles and footwear recycling stakeholders
The Textile Exchange industry body has released the first draft of its plans to move its material-specific certificates towards a single unified standard.
The non-profit, which began a comprehensive revision of its standards framework in 2021, has gone out to public consultation until 14th July on its proposals which are published on its website.
The unified standard would combine its Global Recycled Standard (GRS), Recycled Claim Standard (RCS), Organic Content Standard (OCS), Responsible Down Standard (RDS), Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), Responsible Mohair Standard (RMS), Responsible Alpaca Standard (RAS) and Content Claim Standard (CCS).
