The Refashion platform for connecting textiles and footwear recycling stakeholders
PARIS – Textile recycling company Reju and French collector Nouvelles Fibres Textiles (NFT), which specialises in the recovery of end-of-life textiles, are to collaborate on building a circular ecosystem for textiles in France.
NFT will supply secondary raw materials derived from post-consumer and post-industrial waste textiles to Reju for recycling under the partnership which also promises 100% traceability of recycled materials.

Reju, which is backed by engineering giant Technip Energies and uses IBM’s proprietary VolCat recycling process, says its recycled polyester is expected to have a 50% lower carbon footprint than virgin polyester and can be regenerated infinitely.
NFT and its partners opened a semi-industrial site and research centre for textile recycling a year ago. The pilot line is the first to combine Pellenc ST’s automated sorting technologies with Andritz’ tearing lines to process high volumes of post-industrial and post-consumer textile waste.
